A place of hospitality, retreat and re-creation
Retreats for visiting groups
Eastbourne is a beautiful setting for hospitality, retreat and re-creation. Since 2014 St Alban’s has developed a growing ministry of retreat hospitality, but the scope of this ministry is scaled back until our church and hall buildings are strengthened / redeveloped.
We are still able to host individuals and groups for retreats, using other venues where necessary (for example other local churches). Whether it's a quiet day, retreat or discernment gathering, we can help shape a programme for you and organise a venue to suit.
We can also advise you on local walks and opportunities to enjoy the blessings of this beautiful environment.
To get here, we are a short ferry ride across the harbour from Wellington and easily accessible by car or bus.
To talk through possibilities for an individual or group retreat, contact Interim Priest in Charge Reverend Judith Wigglesworth via the parish office on 04 562 6269 or email her firstname.lastname@example.org
Retreats for parishioners
We run at least two weekend retreats each year for parishioners: one quiet reflective retreat, and one families retreat. These are usually at retreat venues out of Wellington, for example in the Wairarapa or the Horowhenua/Kapiti Coast.
Contact Reverend Judith to find out more or keep an eye on what's on.
